Where does Futures Flow fit?
Futures Flow focuses on CFTC positioning, normalized measures, PCA/UMAP market maps, clustering and weekly AI commentary. Use it when you want to explore cross-market exposure relationships and the assumptions behind them. The public glossary and methodology explain what those outputs can and cannot show.
When is Futures Flow the wrong choice?
Choose direct CFTC downloads when you need original source files. Consider a charting platform if your primary workflow is price-chart overlays. Weekly COT data is not an intraday execution feed. A futures positioning tool cannot replace broker execution, a full portfolio risk system or independent strategy validation.
How should you compare providers?
Use the same market, observation date, report format and futures-only or combined coverage. Check historical lookback, participant categories, exports and the definition of any index. Verify each provider’s current plan before subscribing. A feature not discussed here should be treated as unassessed rather than absent.
